How we are passing Christmas Break!

Games, Games and more Games!

Bingo is a game we play Christmas night after all the presents have been unwrapped I pull out a few more to play bingo with. This year I just stuck to candy! The kids got their fill of chocolate.

We got several new games for Christmas! Ticket to Ride, Blokus, Morp, and an old time favorite Pit. Mike taught us the Foster version of Pit. The looser gets a letter and the first one to spell donkey has to get on the kitchen table and bray.

As you can see Mike was the first to show us how it was done. We have spent many hours this Christmas Break playing games. Some more of our favorites our 500 and Love, Hate & Malice. We have played all of these several times and I think we are worn out.
If we were not playing card games we were playing PS2 games.

And when we are not playing games we are eating. Here we are having a bowl of ice cream.

Christmas Morning!

The kids waiting to see if Santa found them.

Santa brought Logan and Spencer both new Shotguns
"Remmington 870 Express"
Montana is suppose to have some good duck and Pheasant hunting.
One more month and they will be residents to bad the season closes the week before. But they will be ready for next fall.

Santa brought Levi a compound bow and a air hog remote control helicopter. Santa must of known how much fun he had this summer at cub scout camp.

Kate got a new doll and her very own white board so mom won't get after her for writting on hers and erasing her calendar. Santa also brought her a guitar so she can rock out with her big brothers when they play rock band.

Christmas Eve 2009

Our family traditions is to unwrap one present the night before Christmas. It is always a new pair of pj's. We then do a puppet show with puppets I made when Logan was a baby. These puppets help us retell the Christmas story found in Luke. I did not remember to bring the puppets from Oregon so Mike just read the story out of the bible.

We cooked pizza and had clam dip and chips (another tradition)

Kate could hardly wait to unwrap her jammies she bugged us all day long. Finally we set the oven timer for 6pm and told her she had to wait till then.

The kids had been up since 4:30 that morning and were ready for bed at 8:00. They had planned it that way so they would be tired and able to sleep. They sure hoped Santa could find them.

Warm Springs, Montana

Here is a picture of Kate & Breeze our German Short hair. This was taken two days after our 14 hour drive from Oregon to Montana it went better than I ever thought it would. I had been up for close to 36 hours but was glad to finally be reunited again and make my last trip alone to Montana. When I was rested and was able to get a tree and put up a few decorations. We strung popcorn, made paper chains and cinnamon and applesauce ornaments. It started to finally look and feel like Christmas for us.

We had Breeze in our two bedroom apartment for about five days and she did well but it was time to get her to Idaho. Mikes parents are keeping her for us till we get a house and place to keep her. So we made the trip to Idaho. On the way we stopped at Warm Springs, Montana to let Breeze loose. The kids got out and went exploring. This scenic spot was a boat launch along the Madison River. Logan lets say got to see how "warm" Warm Springs Montana is.

After he fell in head first and changed into the only other clothes he brought I made him walk out to the spot were he fell in. I wish I had gotten pictures of him all wet. He was a very cold boy and got out of some work at grandpa's because we had to get his clothes and shoes dry.

Christmas Projects

Everyone has been asking why I haven't been blogging! I should have all this time with half my family gone but you know me I like to keep busy. This Christmas I tackled several projects my traditional Grandma Foster stockings I made a total of 7 pair this year plus I put together 3 desktop scrape books to share our new family photos and the biggest project a 10x11 Levi quilt for our California King bed. Mike loves Levi quilts so when I wasn't packing and getting things ready for the move to Montana I was sewing. I finished sewing it the night I left for Montana. So now that Christmas is over and our move will be complete next week maybe I will be able to blog a little more.

More Family Phots

Spencer snuck in a photo! Not only is he photogenic but not a bad photographer.

Mike took this picture of Logan & Spencer sitting on the edge of the rimrocks in Billings look real close and you can see Logan spitting. Just like a boy!

The High School & Town of Laurel have adopted the Locomotives as the Mascot so our first photo opt was on the back of a railroad car. We were still trying to figure out how to set the timer so Mike did not make it into the picture and no one was looking. We were in the middle of town and everyone was wondering what we were up to so we abandoned this spot.

Family Photo's

After being seperated for four plus months, I realy wanted to have some family pictures so when I came to Montana for Thanksgiving we took a day and set up the camera. We had a good time and got a few family photos out of it.

How Sweet it is!

This week I have had the opportunity to help two families out in our ward.
The first family was welcoming a new member into their family and we got to take care of big sister. We have had her in our home before as you can see by the picture below it was a little warmer then. And the second photo is of a family with 2 sets of twins. I got the chance to watch the youngest set for the day. While the mother fought a case of flu. Mother's can never get sick!!
Anyhow if it hadn't been for these little ones I would never had gotten a chance to work on my blog.

Thanks Guys! We had a blast and I guess I haven't lost my touch!

It's Autumn Time!

You Know it's Autumn when the leaves begin to fall. This is Kate & Levi enjoying the leaves in Idaho. The kids started racking them up for Grandma while we were visiting. Mike told them to lay down and he would rake the leaves over them. Grandma Can You Find Us Now? This is what leaves look like in Oregon! Twice as big and Twice as many? The colors are so bright and brilliant. We can't have all work and no play. So when we were done we put them all in a pile under the swing and they swung off into the leaves they had a blast. This was the second time I had to rack and I am sure it won't be the last. It was sure nice to have help this time!

Pumpkin Carving

We were very successful at growing pumpkins. I stoped counting at #30. Here are 3 of the biggest.

Hunting in Blacktail

What a beautiful place to spend a few days with family.

The Foster's enjoying their yearly hunting trip.

We had over 9 people in this wall tent. But boy did we all stay nice and toasty!!!

Logan & Spencer went off on a night hunt. Mike, Levi, Kate & I shuttled 4-wheelers for them and went on a drive. As you can see Kate quit enjoyed herself.

Sitting around the campfire popping popcorn a Foster favorite even out at hunting camp!

Here is Levi with the finished product!

Logan says "Forget the popcorn I am guarding the candy"

Peyton with Uncle Mike Rock, Paper, Scissors! Who gets it!!

Not only popcorn but the evening wouldn't be complete without steaks from the old river days. Thanks Uncle Terry for cooking them up they we're delicious. To bad some of us had to enjoy them a day late.
